Of Note — October & November 2020

Even in a pandemic, the start of the holiday season feels hectic. Even more so one tries to navigate said holidays during said pandemic. Thanksgiving with family? No, but we can do a socially distant, less-than-eight-people gathering with friends. Fall hikes? Sure, you and everyone else in the city trying to get away from any possible disease-bearers. Needless to say, it’s been a little rough and December is looking to be just as confusing, but hey, we haven’t gotten sick and that’s sort of all that matters.

Spooky-Lau! at the S.O.S. in Atlanta, GA.
I’ve posted about S.O.S. before, and probably will again and a few more times after that. My husband and I went to their Christmas pop-up last december, and this year we found ourselves enjoying a (outdoor, socially distant) cocktail on Halloween.

Initial Q Social Bar & Smokehouse in Spartanburg, SC
Full disclosure, one is a client of Vigors (check out the sweet, sweet case study). However, with tasty bbq and even tastier cocktails, its still worth visiting. What started out as a visit to gather assets for said hyperlinked case study turned into a lovely afternoon in small-town South Carolina.

Just Another Hole in the Wall Tattoo in Anderson, SC.
I got my first tattoo in November thanks to my very talented sister-in-law Elyce Wrabitza. The entire tattoo experience at Just Another Hole in the Wall was clean, safe, and lovely. It’s a really cute all-female shop, so if you ever find yourself in the Upstate, check it out!

Vickery Creek Trail in Roswell, GA
My mom and brother visited us in early October for a few days, and this hike was one of the things we did during our four days together. It’s not a hike persay, more like a casual creek-side stroll, which suited my homebody family quite well.
