February was a frigid month that tested my patience in more ways than once. My list is a bit shorter this month thanks to that, and the fact that I’m knitting a baby blanket for a dear friend of mine, so my time reading, watching, and otherwise experiencing life outside of my knitting chair has been limited. But, with the weather warming up a light at the end of the tunnel coming into view, I have a feeling that March will be much, much better.

The new year got off to a very busy start; lots of work and shake-ups at Vigor bled a little bit into my personal life. I’ve tried to carve out moments for myself, and as you’ll see below, I did a loooot of reading and a good amount of self-reflection. Some of it is fun, silly information about food. A good amount of it is advice while I try to keep my head up. I feel better now that January is over, and I’m hoping to keep the same momentum moving into February.

My husband and I got married in March of 2019. We delayed our honeymoon by a few months to recuperate funds and not be so unkind to our workplaces, and decided to visit Savannah, Georgia in May 2019. Neither of us had ever been to Savannah before, so we hoped our honeymoon would be filled with equal parts appreciating the history of Savannah and exploring the modern Southern city it had become, or rather, was in the process of becoming.
